I recently had to do some load testing. I just don’t seem to have any luck with any of the popular solutions:
I totally appreciate this is open source software. Still, if something sucks - it should be documented.
wrk
- It seems to have issues, in that it does not report failures. https://github.com/wg/wrk/issues/336
siege
- It’ll skip failed URLs rather than retry. https://github.com/JoeDog/siege/issues/129
ab
- Does not allow you to specify multiple URLs
- INVALID URL if you forget a trailing slash. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/10483833/apache-ab-will-not-work-ab-invalid-url-when-testing-python-cyclone
Alternative suggestions (not a recommendation!)

Thanks, was wondering what the difference was between ab and siege. Have you looked into k6? https://k6.io/
